用法辨析
- decide的基本意思是“决定”,指一人或多人对某一事实、行动、方针引起怀疑、动摇、争议,经过比较、思考、商议或研究后拿定主意,作出选择或判断,决定是与非、取与舍,含有不再疑惑、踌躇或争执的意味。引申可表示“肯定”“断定”。
- decide用作不及物动词时,通常跟介词about或on〔upon〕。跟on〔upon〕连用时表示“就重大事情作出决定”或在多种情况〔事物〕中“作出选择”; 与about连用时表示“就一般事情作出决定”。
- decide用作及物动词表示“决定”“决心”时,可接名词、代词、动词不定式、带疑问词的动词不定式或虚拟的名词从句作宾语。decide不可以直接跟动名词,但decide on可以接动名词短语。
- decide作“决定”解时,主语可以是得出这种结论的人,也可以是使某(些)人得出结论的一件〔些〕事。
- decide作“肯定,断定”解时所跟that从句要用陈述语气; 如作“决定”“决意”解要用虚拟语气。
