用法辨析
- doubt的基本意思是對事〔物〕的真實性等表示“懷疑”或“不信任”,有時甚至在調查研究之後仍“難以確定”。也常用來表示對宗教信條等持有疑慮。
- doubt多用作及物動詞,可接名詞、代詞、動名詞、帶疑問詞的動詞不定式或that/wh-/if從句作賓語,也可接以“(to be+) n./adj. ”充儅補足語的複郃賓語。接that從句作賓語時, that前有時可加but。doubt偶爾也用作不及物動詞,常與介詞of連用表示“對…抱懷疑或悲觀的態度”。
- 在疑問句或否定句中, doubt的賓語從句應用that引導; 在肯定句中,則應由if〔whether〕引導。
